Vietad is the only advertising exhibition in Vietnam and has been held annually since 2010. The Vietad is hosted by the Vietnam Advertising Association and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Information Industry and Communications.
With the development of the economy, Vietnam's advertising industry has overcome difficult times and is recovering momentum. According to Kantar Media, the growth rate of Vietnam's advertising industry was 25 percent in 2014. Double-digit growth is expected in 2015. According to the Vietnam Advertising Association, the advertising industry in Vietnam was officially established more than 20 years ago but is growing rapidly.
In 2015, the advertising industry's operating revenue was $500 million, to $1 billion in 2011, including: television advertising, online advertising, news, public relations advertising, holding field event advertising... Among them, television advertising, newspapers accounted for 70% to 80% of the operating revenue. Although the creativity and technical equipment of Vietnam's advertising industry is relatively new than that of other countries and regions, so far, Vietnam's advertising industry has imported 90% of the specialized technical equipment and industrial raw materials.
The potential of the advertising business market in Vietnam has attracted many businesses, companies to visit and participate. At present, there are nearly 5,000 advertising enterprises in Vietnam, of which about 30 are foreign enterprises. It seems that agents of foreign groups from all over the world are gathered in Vietnam. VietAd 2015 aims to maintain and promote the professional exhibition of unique advertising equipment and technology in Vietnam, and successfully held 5 consecutive advertising exhibitions in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The exhibition is a bridge of communication between enterprises engaged in advertising activities and between advertising companies and customers, which helps to promote the development of Vietnam's advertising industry and timely meet the information needs of various businesses in the field of advertising equipment technology. To enhance competitiveness and promote the economic development of Vietnam, especially the development of advertising business.
